ESPN, Fox TV iOS Apps Now Support AT&T U-verse Subscribers

Two major TV networks, ESPN and Fox, have updated their iOS apps to support steaming to AT&T U-verse subscribers. WatchESPN provides access to live feeds of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, and ESPNU, but only for people who already subscribe to ESPN packages from specific providers. Aside from AT&T, these include Bright House Networks, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Midcontinent Communications, Optimum,  Time Warner and Verizon.

FOX NOW streams episodes of Fox TV shows like Bob’s Burgers, New Girl, and The Simpsons. The v1.6 update adds support for both AT&T and Suddenlink customers; previously, just Mediacom and Verizon were compatible. A number of other changes have been made as well, such as defaulting videos to fullscreen, and the addition of a “streamlined universal navigation drawer” to browse between shows, the Fox schedule, and bookmarks. Episode sync no longer requires a login.
