EA and DICE this week released a new update to the Multiplayer Beta for Battlefield 3 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 and Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360.
The update includes fixed occasional client crash, fixed killcam showing glitched area under map, fixed spawning on dead squad mates, and framerate stability fixes.
The Multiplayer Beta includes the Operation Metro Map and the Rush Game Mode.
First introduced in Battlefield: Bad Company, Rush is an objective-based mode in which attackers have to detonate pairs of M-COM stations to unlock the next area and next pair of stations.
Attackers only receive spawn tickets every time they destroy a pair of M-COMs, while defenders have unlimited spawn tickets.
Finally, Rush Mode includes transport vehicles, armored vehicles, helicopters, and jets.
Battlefield 3 includes the Frostbite 2 engine, online vehicle warfare with land, sea, and air vehicles, and combat across the U.S., Europe, and Middle East.
It will be released Oct. 25.
