Although previously announced for around 150 screens on January 23, IMAX and HBO announced today that their theatrical rollout of two episodes of “Game of Thrones” (“The Watchers on the Wall” and “The Children”) has been rescheduled for one week later beginning January 29 at 10 p.m. through February 5.

The date change allows for an expanded rollout of screens to upwards of 200 IMAX theatres due to fan demand. Tickets will officially go on sale on IMAX.com/GameofThrones starting Friday, January 16. To date, confirmed cities include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Montreal, New York, San Antonio, Seattle, Toronto and Washington, D.C., to name a few. A full list of venues is available on the website and fans can check local listings in the coming days for more available IMAX locations.

Marking the first television series to be shown in IMAX theaters, the “Game of Thrones” screening event will also include the worldwide debut of an exclusively created sneak-peek trailer for season five, which will debut on HBO April 12 at 9 p.m.
