Splinter Cell has found a director. Deadline reports Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow) will the helm.
The first game, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, was released in 2002 and set in 2004, following the adventures of Sam Fisher, a covert operative assigned to a top-secret National Security Agency branch called the Third Echelon.
The game has had several sequels including, most recently, Tom Clancy’s Spinter Cell: Conviction, released in 2010. The latest game, “Blacklist” was released last August.
The International‘s Eric Warren Singer is providing the screenplay.
