Jurassic World and Kong: Skull Island co-writer Derek Connolly has been brought in to pen the latest draft of the script for the film adaptation of the video game series Metal Gear Solid at Sony Pictures.
Created by Hideo Kojima, the game series first launched in 1998 and follows Snake, a soldier who infiltrates a nuclear weapons facility to neutralize the terrorist threat from a renegade special forces unit called Foxhound.
Connolly’s ‘Kong’ collaborator Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct the feature film which Avi Arad is producing.
