Denis Leary has scored a leading role in the single-cam comedy event series A Moody Christmas at FOX.
The story follows Dan Moody who returns home to Chicago to spend Christmas with his dysfunctional family. When he arrives, he is met with the inevitable madness of a family whose members are all hiding things from each other. Leary will play Sean Sr., the patriarch of the Moody family.
Leary best-known TV work is FX’s dramedy series Rescue Me.
Bob Fisher, Rob Greenberg, and Tad Quill will write and executive produce. Trent O’Donnell, Phil Lloyd, Jason Burrows, Eric Tannenbaum and Kim Tannembaum will executive produce.
A Moody Christmas will run for six half-hour episodes.
