Dell has used Computex to outline some new additions and alterations to its extensive notebook line. The new Inspiron 5000 series is a mid-range collection that covers a wide array of display sizes, the Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 is a convertible notebook that can work as a tablet, and the currently-available 3000 series will get a minor upgrade, using Intel’s Braswell-based processors.

The Inspiron 5000 Series arrives in 14, 15, and 17-inch varieties, with the 14-inch having a HD display, the 17-inch a 1080p screen, and the 15-inch having options for both, with all having touchscreen options. Processor choices go from Celeron to fifth-generation Core processors, with the added option of AMD processors, with other customization options including a backlit keyboard, a precision touchpad, and a variety of chassis color choices.

Dell has started to ship the Inspiron 5000 series, starting from $600, $450, and $700 for the 14-inch, 15-inch, and 16-inch models respectively. The Inspiron 14 5000 and 15 5000 will gain Braswell processor options in early-August.

The multi-purpose Inspiron 15 7000 Series 2-in-1 is a notebook housed in a forged 20mm-thick aluminum casing, with a 15.6-inch IPS wide-angle display with True Color adjustments. As the name suggests, the screen rotates around and allows the notebook to work in multiple positions and modes, including tablet, tent, and stand. Standard Waves MaxxAudio Pro software, a backlit spill-resistant keyboard, and a battery life said to be very close to nine hours are also included.

The Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 will go on sale beginning from June 23, starting from $550.
