Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Darren Criss shared on Instagram to reveal that he is set to star in creator Ryan Murphy’s upcoming drama titled Hollywood which was given a straight-to-series order by Netflix. Criss also announced that he would be serving as an executive producer alongside Murphy.
Hollywood is co-created by Murphy and Ian Brennan and is being described as “a love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown.” The series will also star Two-time Grammy winner Patti LuPone, Holland Taylor (The Practice), Jeremy Pope (Ain’t Too Proud), Dylan McDermott (American Horror Story), Jim Parsons (The Big Bang Theory). and Joe Mantello (Wicked).
This project will mark the fourth collaboration between Criss and Murphy, who have worked on the musical drama series Glee, American Horror Story: Hotel and The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story with the latter earning Criss an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Limited Series.
