A latest edition of Cyberduck, 4.0, has been reased as download. The software is primarily an FTP/SFTP client, but can also upload to various cloud platforms including Dropbox, Google, WebDAV, Amazon S3, Windows Azure and Rackspace. The latter are the focus of v4.0, which in the transition out of beta code now allows single uploads to S3 to run in parallel and scale up to 5TB in size. Buckets can be set as website endpoints, including the option of enabling CloudFront CDN. In terms of Rackspace, new CDN provider Akamai is supported, and files at edge locations can be purged.

Some other new features include the ability to pick a bookmark to upload to when dragging files to the app, or copying and pasting using menu items to duplicate. Numerous bugs have meanwhile been quashed, such as high CPU use after finishing a transfer. Long histories should no longer result in slowdowns, and queued transfers should always start in proper order instead of a random one.

The Mac software is a Universal Binary requiring Mac OS X 10.5. The Windows versionĀ  Windows XP, Vista and 7.
