Cricket recently indicated that it will soon require customers to wait an extra two months before they can unlock their handsets.
Under the old policy, customers had to wait four months before they could ask for their handsets to be unlocked. Under the new policy, they must wait six months. Other facets of the policy remain the same.
In order for Cricket customers to have their phones unlocked, the device must be designed for Cricket’s network and purchased from a Cricket or authorized Cricket dealer. The change goes into effect December 7.
