Bowers & Wilkins Updates Mini Theater Speaker Line

Bowers & Wilkins has updated its Mini Theater range, including the aging M-1 compact speakers with new drivers, while the PV1D subwoofer enjoyed a more thorough reworking. It gets the same digital platform as the range-topping DB1 and a fresh OLED display. The dynamic EQ has also been updated and the woofer now goes down to 7.5Hz.

Technically unchanged is the ASW608 subwoofer from the Mini Theater range, though it gets a new matte white color option to match the full-range M1 speakers.

The M-1 speaker also got detailed changes like new speaker cable ports with a table stand and wall bracket included, with floor stands optional.

The PV1D, in the meantime, includes SubApp PC software that lets users make advanced settings.

Listeners can look to spend $250 on each monitor, $1,700 on the PV1D and $500 on the ASW608.

Each component can be had on its own, or B&W offers two 5.1-channel bundles. Each M-1 costs $250, the PV1D carries a $1,700 tag, and the ASW608 is priced at $500. The MT-60D and MT-50. The former uses the PV1D subwoofer, while the latter swaps it for the less costly ASW608 sub. They cost $2,950 and $1,750, respectively. Each floor stand for the M-1 costs $150.

The new speakers should be shipping now.
