Blue Man Group has announced the release of six original video shorts for digital release on the Nintendo 3DS and its new video distribution service: Nintendo Video. Each unique, three to four minute video will combine Blue Man Group’s signature blend of humor, infectious music and theatrical flair in vibrant, eye-catching 3D-without the need for special glasses.
“Mobile digital content distribution is the wave of the future,” said President of Blue Man Productions Willy Burkhardt, “and we are excited to be partnering with Nintendo in order to provide our fans with worldwide access to Blue Man Group’s inimitable brand of entertainment in the quickest and most direct method possible.”
“At Nintendo we put a special value on creativity and family-friendly entertainment, so it is only natural that we include content from Blue Man Group, an organization that is renowned in both of these areas,” said Tony Elison, Nintendo of America’s senior director and general manager of Network Business.
The first three Blue Man Group films for Nintendo Video, “Upgrade your Life!”, “Dance Like The Stars!”, and “Foley Part l” have already been released on the Nintendo Video Service, and three more films-“Foley Part ll”, “Blue Man Group Sports”, and “The Remote”-will be distributed over the next several weeks.
