Best Buy to Acquire Napster

Napster  made a surprise announcement that it has entered into an agreement to be  acquired by Best Buy. The terms of the deal are largely unavailable apart from a $121 million price.   So the annual Napster shareholder’s meeting originally scheduled September 18th is now a no go.

Napster just recently launched its own DRM-free MP3 store but has faced challenges  from Amazon  MP3, which is becoming major player in online  digital  music.
