Beats has unveiled a completely redesigned set of Studio headphones. In addition to giving the exterior a new look, Beats says it has also built in its Acoustic Engine digital signal processing to enhance the audio experience without the need for special hardware. The new headphones are also 13 percent lighter than the superseded model, while also making them more compact and portable.

The Beats Studio also incorporates Adaptive Noise Cancelling to create a balance between the sound and the external environment automatically. However, it can also be switched into a mode that cancels out external sounds almost completely. An in-built rechargeable battery that is good for 20 hours on a charge powers the system. It also automatically switches off when it detects that Studios have been unplugged. Charging is over a micro USB connection.

The new Beats Studio headphones also feature a new headband that is also stronger and more comfortable, while its ear cups are now also softer and designed to adapt to different head shapes. Beats has also managed to hide the screws helping to further streamline the look and feel of the Studios. The new Beats Studio headphones are retailing for $300 and will be available from next month.
