Avid Discontinues Support for Studio iPad App

Posted by at 12:02 pm on September 1, 2012

Users of the Avid Studio iPad app are seeing a pop-up informing them that support is discontinued, notes TUAW. As a replacement, people are being directed to Pinnacle Studio, a similar video editing app owned by Corel, but currently free through September 18th. Avid Studio is still available for $5.

Corel recently bought out Avid’s consumer-level editing software. The latter’s Studio iPad app hasn’t been around for very long; it first arrived in February, a little over a month before the third-generation iPad was released. Prior to the today, however, the app’s last update was in May.
