AT&T today announced the availability of its LTE 4G network in a handful of towns scattered about the country.

The new markets include Richmond-New Castle, Ind.; Adrian and Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.; Glens Falls, N.Y.; St. Mary’s, Pa.; and Danville, Va. AT&T also expanded the reach of its LTE footprint in some existing markets, including Tell City, Ind., and Charlevoix and Emmet counties in Michigan.

Customers in these markets with LTE-compatible equipment should experience faster data performance. AT&T didn’t provide an update concerning the number of POPs now covered by its LTE network, but it is on target to reach 97% of Americans by the end of the year.
