Asus has been busy expanding its ZenFone handset line of late, with the dual rear camera-packing ZenFone 3 Zoom being the most recent. Like a number of OEMs, the firm is also concentrating on bringing Android 7 Nougat to its roster, and it would appear that the ZenFone 3 is next on the list. The firmware update has begun trickling out to users in the Philippines, and will surely reach other supported regions in the near future.

As a refresher, the ZenFone 3 is of a mid-range disposition, with a Snapdragon 625 processor, 4 gigs of RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage. Announced back in May 2016, it sports a 5.5-inch, 1080 x 1920 display, and is finished in a rather appealing metal and glass combo.

The Android Nougat update adds a slew of features over the preceding Marshmallow, including multi-window support, enhanced Doze power management and the customary bundle performance tweaks. For a more thorough overview of what’s on offer, be sure to check out our Android 7.0 Nougat review.

The model numbers supported by this update are ZE520KL and ZE552KL.
