Disc Jam is coming to Nintendo Switch, developer High Horse Entertainment has announced. Previously exclusive to PC and PlayStation 4, the multiplayer arcade sports action game will be available worldwide on Nintendo eShop from February 8th. All modes and content previously available on the PC and PS4 will be accessible on Switch, alongside a host of new features.

Cross-platform play will be possible exclusively between PC and Switch (no word yet on if there will be PlayStation 4 cross-platform play), as well as local wireless multiplayer with up to 4 Switch consoles. The Switch version of Disc Jam will be released alongside an update, which will add new content to the game. This update will be available for free on all platforms and will include the following:

  • Lannie, a new South American volleyball-playing character described by High Horse as “the perfect balance of power and agility”
  • Ranked Leagues and Seasons, new competitive multiplayer modes
  • New single-player mode, similar to Leagues and Seasons but for solo players
  • More details on new features and content incoming in the February 8th update will be available in the coming weeks.

Disc Jam is a competitive multiplayer arcade sports game, described by its developers High Horse Entertainment as “a frantic combination of air hockey and tennis”. Players must catch and throw a glowing disc, scoring points if the opponent fails to catch the disc. Players can face off against each other in 1v1 or 2v2 matches, either locally or online. Content has been steadily added since the game’s March 2017 release. This content includes a new character, new discs and dedicated multiplayer servers.

Disc Jam will be released for Nintendo Switch on February 8th and will cost $14.99.
