Late Wednesday night, Apple updated its pro video-editing software Final Cut Pro X to version 10.0.2, fixing three issues related to fonts, playback and stability. The update fixes an issue where fonts in a title will revert back to the default font after restarting the program, and is in addition to the significant updates made in v10.0.1 in mid-September that added XML import and export, Lion full-screen view and more.
The 10.0.2 update also resolves an issue that could cause files recorded with some third-party mobile devices not to play back properly, and addresses a stability issue caused by changing the start time on a Compound Clip. The update requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 and is recommended for all users. The update is available via the Mac App Store.
The first major update, miost likely called 10.1, has been promised for sometime in the first half of 2012.
