Apple has announced the 2013 slate of its annual Apple Camps for kids, which are hosted at Apple Stores. The focus this year is on producing a short iMovie clip using self-shot footage, with a soundtrack produced in the iPad version of GarageBand. Each workshop will stretch over three days, ending with the videos being shown at a camp film festival.
Parents can currently register kids aged 8 to 12 at the US and Canadian Apple websites.
Camps in those countries will begin in mid-July, and run through early August. Sessions are forthcoming in Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK, but registration has not yet opened in those cases.
