Alienware Gaming Laptops Sport New video, Haswell CPUs

Alienware has updated its flagship products for the Haswell chipset. Three new revised laptop models being revealed are the Alienware 14, Alienware 17, and Alienware 18 — all with the Haswell i7-4700MQ processor, 8GB of dual-channel RAM, and a 750GB SATA-2 hard drive.

The models are distinguished by screen size. The Alienware 14 has a 14-inch 1366×768 200 nit display, driven by the Nvidia GeForce GT 750M with 1GB of GDDR5. Wi-Fi is provided by a Killer NIC 1202 at 802.11n speeds. Windows 7 Home Premium is loaded on the machine.

The Alienware 17 boasts a 17.3-unch 1600×900 display, driven by the Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M with 2GB of GDDR5. WiFi is provided by a Broadcom 4352 802.11n/ac chipset. The Alienware 18 has a 18.4-inch display running at 1920×1080. Video is provided by dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 765M chipsets, each with 2GB of GDDR5. WiFi is provided by the same chipset as the Alienware 17, and runs at 802.11n/ac speeds. Both the Alienware 17 and 18 run Windows 7 Home Premium.

Pricing is not yet available, with the new models being made available by the end of the week.
