Casio has started shipping a wristwatch with built-in Bluetooth connectivity to the US. The G-Shock GB6900, shown off late last year and faced delays coming to market caused by flooding in Thailand, is capable of connecting to Bluetooth 4.0 smartphones such as the iPhone 4S, and showing various updates on the watch face.

While not as full-featured as the Pebble or Sony MW2 SmartWatch, the GB6900 can sync its time online, offer alerts for incoming calls and e-mails, and trigger the iPhone’s alarm and vibration as part of its Find Me function. Its battery life is claimed to last around two years when the Bluetooth connection is used 12 hours a day, multiple times that of other current smart watch offerings.

Aside from the addition of Bluetooth, the watch includes shock and water resistance to a depth of 200 meters (650 feet), has a world time function, five daily alarms, an LED super illuminator, and a stopwatch.

The G-Shock GB6900 is on sale now for $180.
