Adobe Releases Kuler for the iPhone

Posted by at 11:22 am on May 31, 2013

Adobe has released a native iPhone version of Kuler, its color capture tool. Theapp ets people create color themes extracted from photos or images on Flickr and the web. The ultimate purpose is to sync themes with the Kuler website, where they can in turn be synced with other Adobe apps, namely Illustrator and Ideas.

Themes can be adjusted using a color wheel and RGB color sliders; picking a base color helps identify complementary colors. Five preset color “moods” are included in the Camera mode, such as Colorful and Muted, while six preset color rules are available in the color wheel, such as Monochromatic and Complementary.

Finished themes can be saved, named, and tagged, and shared with others via Twitter or email. The app is a free download, and should run on any device supporting iOS 5.1 or later.
