Call of Duty: Black Ops II has been let out of the bag early.

According to an official U.K. website from publisher Activision, video game players can, indeed, expect what has been rumored for weeks: Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the next installment of the hit first-person shooter.

The website lists a date of Nov. 13, 2012, for its release.

A description of the game on the website suggests Black Ops is moving into modern-day combat. Here’s what it says:

“Pushing the boundaries of what fans have come to expect from the record-setting entertainment franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 propels players into a near future, 21st century Cold War, where technology and weapons have converged to create a new generation of warfare.”

Activision plans on revealing the game’s first trailer tonight on cable channel TNT during their broadcast of the NBA Playoffs.

Be sure to hit that U.K. site while you can. Who knows when (or if) Activision pulls that down until tonight’s trailer debuts.

The site also says the game is being developed by Treyarch, the studio behind the first Black Ops title and Call of Duty: World at War.
