Producer Amy B. Harris has signed a new overall deal with ABC Studios, and has been named showrunner for ABC’s upcoming fall drama “Wicked City,” which bows Oct. 27. Besides serving as showrunner and exec producer on “Wicked City,” Harris will develop new projects for the network, cable and streaming services under the two-year pact.
Harris, who worked on “Sex and the City,” created the series’ CW prequel “The Carrie Diaries” in 2013. She also served as a producer on “The Comeback’s” first HBO season in 2005, and again in 2014 as a co-exec producer on the revival.
“Wicked City” marks a reunion for Harris and star Ed Westwick, as she was a consulting producer on “Gossip Girl.”
