Paramount Pictures released Book Club, last year. The film was about a group of older women who decide to read the entire Fifty Shades trilogy and discuss it as part of their book club.

In the process, they spice up their love lives. Despite mixed reviews, the PG-13 comedy made $104 million worldwide from a small budget. Jane Fonda, Alicia Silverstone, Mary Steenburgen, Diane Keaton, Andy Garcia, Don Johnson, Candice Bergen, Richard Dreyfuss and Craig T. Nelson co-starred.

The film well enough it now appears the studio wants to bring the gang back for a sequel with Steenburgen appearing on Andy Cohen’s radio show recently and suggesting that a follow-up is happening.

“There had been these little meetings over the years between all of us, but the stories are so incredible. And also, I love [Book Club] because I’m the baby of the group, so it’s really nice to like, for once in my life be the youngest. On Last Man on Earth and things like that I’m by far the oldest person. So, anyway, I love them and I guess we’re doing Book Club 2 because the film was incredibly successful. Yeah, it was like a huge hit. It made so much money.”

the Book Club follow-up will focus on another piece of saucy literature, though it’s not known what book that will be at this point.
