The ZTE Axon Mini is one of the first phones to be available with Force Touch. But in this day and age, it takes more than that to attract the attention of a phone buyer. So ZTE partnered with the NBA, and today the ZTE Axon Mini NBA Edition was unveiled in China. Thanks to players like Yao Ming and Jeremy Lin (remember Linsanity?), the NBA is red hot in the country.

The ZTE Axon Mini NBA Edition has seven variants. Six of them feature an NBA team logo (L.A. Lakers, Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks, and the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors) and a seventh is branded with the official NBA insignia. In addition, the phones are loaded with NBA themed wallpaper and NBA apps all created especially for the Chinese market.

The limited edition NBA version of the Axon Mini will soon be available at a price equivalent to $377 USD. The specs remain the same as those found on the regular version of the device. That means you can expect a 5.2-inch, 1080 x 1920 resolution OLED screen. That works out to a 424ppi pixel density. Under the hood is an octa-core 1.5GHz CPU. 3GB of RAM is inside, along with 16GB of expandable storage. There is a 13MP rear camera, fingerprint scanner, and a retina scanner to boot. A 2800mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android 5.1 is pre-installed.

If you are a big NBA fan living in China, deciding to pick up the ZTE Axon Mini NBA Edition is a slam dunk decision. The hardest part of the process might be trying to decide which team logo you want on the back.
