Nuketown 2025Two years after the game launched, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has made the Nuketown 2025 map available on Wii U, coinciding with a double XP weekend on that console.

Nuketown 2025 free, and players will get it by installing an update to the game. The map was originally a pre-order incentive for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and was made available to all platforms through the Revolution DLC pack in January 2013.

Additionally, the Zombies-mode map Die Rise is expected to finally arrive on Wii U. Miiverse users had said they’d seen it added to the game’s menus (and included screenshots) but were unable to launch it yet.

No formal announcement was made of the map’s release, leaving it to players to speculate why it was coming out now. Or, as one put it in Miiverse: “This is wonderful. Nuketown showed up 11 years early.”
