Uncle Buck premiered on Tuesday to 5.2 million total viewers and a 1.5 rating, delivering ABC’s largest audience in the time slot since December of 2014 and the best demo number in eight months.
ABC notes that Uncle Buck’s tallies mark broadcast TV’s best summertime comedy launch in nine and seven years, respectively.
