Uncharted 3 Beta Leads this Week’s PlayStation Network Downloads

The Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception multiplayer beta starts today and you can participate if you’ve got a PlayStation Plus subscription. Considering the Welcome Back program offers a free month trial of PS Plus, most PlayStation 3 users can use the trial to get in the beta immediately. PSP owners may be interested in picking up the budget-priced PSP Dual Game Packs.

PlayStation 3 gGmes and Demos

  • The Uncharted 3 multiplayer beta lets players sample the game’s nine online modes across three maps. Modes will be rotated every week until July 14 so check here to see what will be available to play. The beta also has a selection of boosters, medals, and kickbacks to try out.
  • Ubisoft’s award-winning Beyond Good & Evil HD returns to PSN, now in high-definition. As photojournalist Jade, players will uncover a government conspiracy. Costs $9.99 to download.
  • Gatling Gears is a steampunk-themed twin-stick shooter. As retired Gatling Gear pilot Max Brawley, you must break through the forces of the Empire and discover who’s behind the out-of-control destruction of natural resources. Worth $9.99 to download and has a demo available as well.
  • In Puzzle Dimension, you must navigate a ball through mazelike environments to gather flowers in order to exit. Each area has its own unique obstacles to overcome in order to find a path to the goal. Roll and think your way out for $8.99.
  • Streets of Rage 2 takes place one year after the original Streets of Rage with the Syndicate being revived after their initial defeat. Axel Stone teams up with Blaze Fielding, Max Thunder, and Skate to rescue Adam Hunter’s brother and take down the Syndicate once again in this beat ’em up. Worth $4.99 to download.
  • The MotorStorm Apocalypse demo supports online play and 3D televisions. Available until July 5 so download as soon as you can.
  • PlayStation Move Ape Escape demo lets you sample the latest entry in the Ape Escape series with PlayStation Move controls.
  • The Duke Nukem Forever demo sees Duke taking down the Cycloid and traversing through a desert to refuel his monster truck. Be sure to check out our review for DNF.
  • For FPS fans, Kaos Studios’ latest Homefront multiplayer demo gives you a chance to check out the game’s infantry and vehicle combat.
  • NCAA Football 2012 trial lets football fans check out matches between Alabama and Florida State or Oregon taking on Texas.
