While Christoph Waltz was said to be up for the role back in October, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that “Modern Family” star Ty Burrell will now take his place in Walt Disney Pictures’ still-untitled sequel to 2011’s The Muppets. Burrell will play the part of an Interpol agent.
Director James Bobin and writer Nicholas Stoller are set to return behind the camera, but Jason Segel will not be back as the star.
