TP-LINK has released its affordably-priced dual-band router, the N600. It can simultaneously stream using the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for lag-free online gaming and streaming high-definition videos. Either band carries data at speed of up to 300Mbps.

The router has a switch to quickly turn off Wi-Fi streaming, and there is one USB port for connecting and sharing peripherals such as external hard drives and printers.

The router, model number TL-WDR3500, has 802.11a/b/g/n support and a four-port, 10/100Mbps switch along with dual antennas. There is a Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) button for quickly setting up secure connections. There is a built-in media server for accessing multimedia from game consoles and Windows Media Player.

Those with older computers can connect to the router’s 5GHz band thanks to TP-LINK’s TL-WDN3200 adapter. It is priced at $30 while the router itself costs $47.
