Deadline brings great news about the long in the works Uncharted movie with the report Tom Holland, will star as young Nathan Drake in the film. The report has the film as prequel to the game series, taking its ques from the sequence in Naughty Dog’s and Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception where the young thief first meets his partner Victor Sullivan.
Shawn Levy (Stranger Things, Night at the Museum films, Real Steel) is set to direct the video game adaptation.
On the video gaming front, a new stand-alone expansion, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, will debut this year.
Uncharted is an Arad/Atlas Entertainment Production, with Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner, and Ari Arad producing.
