Get ready for the “felt-good” show of the fall season as ABC (via Yahoo!) has debuted five posters to promote their new prime-time series featuring “The Muppets.” Check them out below, along with the 10 minute-long Comic-Con reel that previews the upcoming show!
Shot in a verity/”The Office”-esque handheld style, “The Muppets” is a mockumentary chronicling the day-to-day duties of the Kermit and co. during production of “Up Late with Miss Piggy,” a late-night talk show starring Miss Piggy. Unlike the recent kid-centric Disney movies, the new show will feature more of the meta adult humor the characters were famous for during their heyday in the ’70s.
Bill Prady (“The Big Bang Theory”) and Bob Kushell (“The Simpsons”) co-created the show, which will air Tuesdays at 8pm/7c beginning September 22 on ABC.
