The first pictures of AMD Threadripper 2000 series packaging have leaked out by Videocardz. The next-generation of AMD HEDT processors will be released soon and we have already got word about the specifications but today, we get our first good look at the packaging for AMD’s high-end desktop chips.
As you can see below, AMD has gone with a more polygonal with he 2nd gen Threadripper box. Do know the new chips are still using Socket TR4 (short for Socket Threadripper), also known as Socket SP3r2. So this is only a change in the package at retail, not the chip size.
