The online gaming service for the Switch will launch in 2018, the company announced on Thursday.
Nintendo originally planned to go live this year, but the backend for the service is taking longer than they had hoped for. Nintendo says online lobbies and its smartphone app voice chat service will be available in a “free, limited version” this summer. Please note you will need a Nintendo Account to try the online during the free period.
When the Nintendo Switch online service launches 2018, it will cost $19.99 annually. There will be also option to subscribe to the service at $3.99 per month or $7.99 for three months.
