Super Mega Baseball, the outstanding arcade-style baseball game from Canadian indie developer Metalhead Software, will be released on Windows PC and Xbox One this summer, the studio announced today.

The port is called Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings and will contain additional content over the original PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions, which debuted in mid-December. In addition to two new stadiums, Metalhead is promising “enhanced gameplay” and an “improved baseball simulation,” according to a press release. The studio will deliver the new content to PS3 and PS4 players via “updates and/or (free) DLC,” the company said in a blog post.

Metalhead will self-publish Extra Innings on both Xbox One (via the ID@Xbox program) and PC (via Steam). Reached for comment, a Metalhead official told Polygon that the pricing will be “similar” to the PlayStation original, which costs $19.99 and is a cross-buy title across PS3 and PS4.

Asked about the timing of the PC and Xbox One launches, the rep said, “We wil try for as close to simultaneous as possible, but don’t want to absolutely promise it (it’s our first PC release and we’ll have to base it on how smoothly the game is working on all the different hardware).”

He also confirmed that Metalhead is developing both ports itself.

With Sony’s critically acclaimed MLB 15 The Show being exclusive to PlayStation platforms, Major League Baseball Advanced Media’s R.B.I. Baseball 15 is currently the only baseball video game available on PC or Xbox.
