Sony Pictures have staked a claim on the release date of October 8th 2021 for untitled movie based on the Marvel IP they own for the film world..
At present Sony has three definite Marvel films on the way. Morbius is coming this July and has already released a trailer. Venom 2 is halfway through production with the street thinking the Sony/Marvel untitled film slotted for October 2nd is that movie. A very tight schedule, but doable.
The next Tom Holland-led Spider-Man film is planned to have a July 21st 2021 opening.
Other Marvel IP movies rumored to be in the works at Sony including the Black Cat, Kraven the Hunter and Nightwatch films. We just know yet. Heck it could even be something else. Sony has the rights to a fair amount of Marvel IP.
