Sony Corporation has announced that the PlayStation 4 has sold one million units in the Middle East since its launch back in 2013. The Japanese tech giant made the announcement earlier today in a press conference and also pointed out that the company is prepared to sell another million PS4 consoles through the region.

It was previously reported by Sony that 3 million PS4 sales had occurred in Q1 of 2015 and at the end of Q2, the entire lifetime sales of the console had increased up to 25 million units sold. Sony has been consistently giving defeat to Microsoft’s Xbox One sales since 4 months. The additional 1 million sold in Middle East now also increases the console’s lifetime sale to more than 25 million units sold.

We’re still unaware of how many Xbox One units have been sold in the Middle East by now, however we might expect an answer to that question anytime soon now since Sony has revealed its PS4 sales figure for the region. Furthermore General Manager SCE Mena, Robert Fisser has thanked all the appreciation and support of fans of the PlayStation 4 whilst also mentioning that the company already has one more million units ready to be sold in the Middle East region.
