Sonos has released an update to its iPhone app that works with the company’s multi-room music systems. Besides working as a Sonos Controller, the 3.0 version of the app adds a new “Info View” command which connects to a variety of esources such as Last.fm, Pandora, Rhapsody, Napster and Sonos Radio.

The Info View for Pandora can be used to create new stations, view artist information or add bookmarks to an account. Rhapsody content includes artist details, album reviews, related projects, followers and similar artists. Last.fm, users can view artist information, similar artists or upcoming concert dates. Users can add tracks and albums to Napster libraries, or save favorite stations and shows with Sonos Radio.

The app lets owners control distribution of music through each zone in a home, along with individual volume levels. Different tracks can be played in each room, or each area can be synced to the same source. Users can access content from up to 16 devices , such as PCs, Macs or NASs.

Sonos Controller 3.0 requires a ZonePlayer system and is available as a free download for the iPhone or iPod touch via iTunes.
