Skype for Android Adds Support for Arabic and Hebrew

Posted by at 1:16 pm on June 29, 2016

SkypeSkype today announced version 7.05 for Android devices, which adds proper support for Arabic and Hebrew. Both languages are written right-to-left, not left-to-right like English or Spanish.

Microsoft says Skype 7.05 offers a native right-to-left experience in the app for the first time. Rather than simply mirror its UI for Arabic and Hebrew, Skype recreated every transition animation and optimized its navigation tools to function normally with the two right-to-left languages.

Skype 7.05 is free to download from the Google Play Store.
