Netflix has released the full trailer for director Damien Chazelle’s (La La Land, First Man) eight-episode limited musical drama series The Eddy which debuts May 8th.
In The Eddy, Andre Holland plays a former celebrated jazz pianist trying to keep his struggling Parisian jazz club from getting shut down while also dealing with gangsters and the arrival of his daughter (Amandla Stenberg). Then he finds out that his partner is involved in questionable business practices things start to spin out of control
The project marks Chazelle’s first time directing a television series. Joanna Kulig, Leila Bekhti, and Tahar Rahim co-star.
