Deadline brings word that Screen Gems is gearing up to bring an unexpected horror remake to life with See No Evil, a remake of the 1971 horror film starring Mia Farrow, not to be confused withe 2006 slasher movie of the same name. Mike Scannell, who penned the upcoming He’s Out There for the studio, will write the film with The Strangers director Bryan Bertino and Adrienne Biddle in line to produce.

Originally titled “Blind Terror,” the film sees Mia Farrow return to the world of horror just three years after her performance in Roman Polanski’s Rosemary’s Baby. In the film, Farrow plays a blind woman who returns to her family’s country home for a visit. Inside however is a dangerous killer walking the halls, and after killing all of her family he sets his sights on the helpless Sarah.

See No Evil was directed by Richard Flesicher, whose credits range from Walt Disney’s original 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the original Doctor Dolittle to ’80s genre fare like Amityville 3-D, Conan the Destroyer, and Red Sonja.
