Samsung has released details of five lenses for the NX swappable lens system found on cameras like the NX11. the first lens is aimed at everyday users with an 18-200mm, f3.5-6.3 long zoom lens to cover most shooting situations with a single lens. While image stabilized, it won’t have a silent autofocus system and is likely targeted at newcomers who want an all-purpose lens.

Other lenses are more specialized. Three fixed-zoom lenses are joining the mix, including a 16mm f2.4 pancake lens without any assists, a 60mm f2.8 macro lens with both stabilization and a silent motor, and an 85mm f1.4 prime lens with the silent motor but no stabilizer. Samsung has also promised a higher quality standard zoom with a wider and longer 16-80mm range, stabilization, and a relatively tight f3.5-4.5 aperture spread.

The lenses don’t have prices so far and will be released over the course of the year. The 18-200mm lens should be ready in May and will be joined by the 16mm lens in July, the 60mm macro in August and the 85mm prime in October. The 16-80mm lens won’t be ready until the very end of the year, in December.
