The PS Vita version of the Romancing SaGa 2 remaster, which was also released for smartphones, sold over 200,000 copies.
The number was announced by ArtePiazza representative director Shintaro Majima during a lecture at Unite 2017 Tokyo, a conference that targets Unity developers and students. ArtePiazza was in charge of the Romancing SaGa remaster’s development.
While the PS Vita version of Romancing SaGa 2 is currently only available in Japanese, an English version is still planned for release, as of December 2016.
A remastered version of Romancing SaGa 3 is currently in development for PS Vita and smartphones. However, unlike Romancing SaGa 2, which was based on its feature phone version, Romancing SaGa 3 is being worked on from scratch, meaning it will be a while until it is actually released.
