He’s a Heisman Trophy winner and one of the top projected picks in this year’s NFL Draft. Now, add cover athlete for sports simulation NCAA Football 13 to his list of accomplishments.
Former Baylor University quarterback Robert Griffin III will grace the cover of the college football game when it launches July 10.
“RG3” will appear on the front of the game along with another Heisman Trophy winner to be determined by a fan vote.
Among the candidates: former USC running back Marcus Allen, former Boston College quarterback Doug Flutie, former Ohio State running back Eddie George, former Michigan wide receiver Desmond Howard, former Oklahoma State University running back Barry Sanders, former Georgia running back Herschel Walker, former Florida State quarterback Charlie Ward and former University of Houston quarterback Andre Ware.
Voting begins on March 12.
Griffin wrapped up an incredible year at Baylor, snagging the Davey O’Brien award given to the nation’s top quarterback. He was also named the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year in 2011.
And following an impressive performance at the NFL scouting combine, Griffin could go as high as the No. 2 pick in April’s NFL Draft.
NCAA Football 13 launches July 10 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. EA did not offer details on new features.
