NBC’s Saturday Night Live will open 2014 with rapper/songwriter/ Degrassi: The Next Generation alum Drake serving as first-time host, it was announced during this weekend’s telecast.
Drake will also perform as musical guest, a role he first filled in Oct. 2011 (opposite host Anna Faris).
SNL‘s first episode of 2014 will air Jan. 18.
