Sony Corp. this week said the Playstation Home online in the Playstation Network division of the Playstation 3 will receive a redesign this fall.
The new version will include the Hub to allow users a direct path to free games via a teleporter and Activity Board to engage in quests and community activities.
In addition, new divisions like Action District, Sportswalk, Adventure District, and Pier Park will divide online games include action, sports, adventure, and board games, respectively.
Finally, a core client upgrade will be deployed to streamline user functionality.
Playstation Home has been used by more than 23 million users worldwide.
The online social network launched in Dec. 2008 to allow Playstation Network users to socialize with custom avatars, personal spaces and virtual online game facilities.
