Mr. Robot - Season 2

Enthusiastic fans can dive into the “Mr. Robot” world with a new mobile game that you can now download on your smart phones called “Mr.Robot:1.51exfiltrati0n.” The fake messaging app casts players as a stranger who finds a mysterious cell and begins communicating with the show’s characters.

The game is developed by “Oxenfree” and published by Telltale Games. The developers worked closely with the show’s creator Sam Esmail and writer Kor Adana to give fans a chance to perform some awesome hacks. According to Adam Hines, co-founder of Nightschool Studios, it takes place in the “Mr. Robot” universe during the first season, between episodes 5 and 6. Though, it’s not a side story.

“It’s an adventure game you play entirely through the guise of texting, so you get to mess with people and ruin relationships and destroy some lives and help characters on the show perform the BIGGEST HACK OF ALL TIME,” wrote Adam on the company’s page.

Night School Studio co-founder Sean Krankel also added that, “Working hand in hand with Sam, series writer Kor Adana and Universal Cable Productions, we’ve created an opportunity for players to meaningfully interact with characters like Elliot, Darlene and Cisco, truly feeling like they’re joining the hack at a critical moment in the TV series. As fans, it’s nothing short of a dream come true for us.”

“Mr. Robot” is currently in its second season and was recently picked up for a third. The show airs Wednesday nights on USA. There’s a view of the game in the footage below.
