Epix has renewed its Batman prequel Pennyworth for a ten-episode second season from Warner Horizon Television. Production begins in January with the aim of premiering later that year.

The series follows Bruce Wayne’s legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon), a former British SAS soldier who goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), who has not yet become Bruce Wayne’s father, in 1960s London.

The one-hour drama series was the highest-performing original series ever to premiere on Epix, more than doubling the viewership of the shows that came before it.

Streaming service Shudder has renewed its horror anthology series Creepshow for a second season. The series is based on the iconic 1982 movie written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero and has its finale this week.

Creepshow is Shudder’s first hour-long scripted series since launching in 2016, and more than 50% of Shudder members watched at least one episode of the series, according to the streamer.
